Choosing a finger joint line starts with three numbers. Get them right and the whole line runs at full speed.
FINGER SHAPERS
Short blocks are fed in batches. Trim saws square each end and scoring saws prevent tear-out, then the finger cutterhead mills the interlocking profile. The batch is turned or transferred and the second end is shaped the same way.
SYNERGY
SHAPER + ASSEMBLER
The shaper sets the speed of the line, the assembler sets the joint quality. After gluing, the assembler engages the pieces end to end, applies pressure to close the joints and cuts the continuous beam to length.
