Finger Jointing Pros

Why use Finger Jointing lines

Finger Jointing line Advantages

Perfect for turning short-length wood into long and valuable boards.

Sawing processes create offcuts with short pieces of wood, usually between 150 to 800mm. Finger jointing lines reuse those leftover from sawmills and deliver semi finished products with unmatched equivalent in cost-effectiveness, turning waste into ready to sell items.

The combination of unique finger joint design and modern glues produces wood boards with exceptional mechanical properties, which often exceed the natural capabilities of solid wood.

The short wood pieces are usually more straight and less subject to warping. This leads to greater performance and durability over time, which is consistent with products such as interior and even exterior joinery or mouldings.

The finger joint assembler at the end of the line allows for the production of various lengths that can be tailored with boards up to 6.2m long. This is especially suitable for wood panelling and baseboards.

Finally, finger joint lines help sawmills to better use the resource with higher material yield, minimizing the wood loss. On the overall, the quantity of glue used to produce the finger joint boards is lower and more eco-friendly compared to glued laminated timber.
